For example, you will know you have a coaching climate when: |
Doing this |
Doing some of this |
Unsure about this |
Not even started |
The links between personal growth, team development and organisational learning are integrated and clearly understood |
People are able to engage in constructive and positive dialogue about issues |
People welcome and actively seek feedback (even at the top level) |
Coaching is seen as a joint responsibility of managers and their direct reports |
Coaching is seen primarily as a opportunity rather than as a remedial intervention |
People are recognised and rewarded for their activity in sharing knowledge and learning |
I will bring proven tools to help you to assess where you are now in developing a coaching and learning culture, and then provide a practical process for taking the culture forward, with measures to gauge progress. We will co-create a plan for your organisation's 'learning journey' with milestones to enable you to track progress and invest your resources wisely to achieve the desired results. Feel confident knowing that you're working with an adaptable consultant and coach who can quickly absorb and relate to your culture. Organisations I have researched and worked with in this context include Marks & Spencer, British Airways (Quest), The Body Shop, BUPA, and Ordnance Survey.
Team performance is often the key to an organisation's success. Do some of your teams only deliver mundane or acceptable levels of performance, yet could achieve so much more? Are team conflicts and lack of shared vision holding collective performance back?
I develop teams towards high performance using proven team development tools, and will support teams and individual members with coaching and guidance to improve their level of success. I facilitate team 'away days' to explore team issues such as effectiveness, communication, conflict, team vision, goals and projects, and creativity and innovation. Organisations I have helped in this context include The Pensions Regulator, Brighton & Hove City Council, and Vosper Thorneycroft (Careers Division).
Many organisations wish to develop the internal talent they have but often lack the expertise or time to do this. Providing targeted support to high potentials ensures their retention and prepares them for tomorrow's challenges and roles.
Talented people often know their value, yet need a different treatment from other usual approaches - especially with the prima donnas!
Tackle the 'war for talent' with an innovative talent management programme that builds the identified talent, resources and succession you need. I will also provide development plans, backed by interpretations of psychometric assessments (if needed), high-impact, self development learning tools, and catalytic coaching and mentoring that combines to achieve individual and organisational goals.
Be secure in the knowledge that you're collaborating with an experienced learning and development professional that understands the difference in working with talented individuals. Organisations I have helped in this context include MottMacdonald, South Somerset District Council, and Vosper Thorneycroft.
