Sad passing of Sir John Whitmore

Posted by Peter Welch on 7 May 2017 | 5 Comments

Sad to hear that John Whitmore passed this week. He's been a founding father in the coaching world and an inspiration for many, and recognised for his GROW model.

A quote I quite like from John is:

'I am able to control only that which I am aware of. That which I am unaware of controls me.

Awareness empowers me. No two human minds or bodies are the same.

How can I tell you how to use yours? Only you can discover how, with awareness.'
Sir John Whitmore

How do you react to this quote about control and awareness?

Thanks and RIP John.

  • Why was Sir john A MacDonald named "Sir"? Victoria knighted John A. Macdonald for playing an integral role in bringing about Confederation.---------- In 1867 the agreement was brought to the British Parliament, which passed the British North America Act creating the Dominion of Canada. Upon the creation of the Dominion of Canada, the Province of Canada was then divided into the individual provinces of Quebec and Ontario.
